How to upload on to final cut pro

When filming I uploaded the film onto a programe called 'Final Cut Pro'. This allows me to upload and edit films that have been shot. Firstly firstly i made sure that the tape is in the camera and rewind it to the beginning so the footage is at the start. I then attached the firewire cable from the camera to the back of the computer. Before i did this i made sure that the camera was on 'VCR' mode. I then opened 'Final Cut Pro', started a new project (if the project already exists then file>open recent) if not you should go to file > log > capture clip settings (choose aud & vid) then i clicked 'capture now' and pressed play on the camera. Once the footage was uploaded I pressed 'esc' and close 'log & capture' window.
